😱 The Resume Everyone Laughed At[TRUE STORY]
Back in the '90s, hiring was a whole different world.
I had a promotional company with a growing need for graphic design, we couldn't just look online and find talent.
Nope, we had to place a classified ad in the newspaper and sift through stacks of resumes.
This time, we were looking for a new in-house graphic artist.
We got hundreds of applications, and our receptionist filtered them down to about 15 or 20 for me to review.
As I walked past the garbage, one discarded resume caught my eye.
It was written in crayon.

Who submits a crayon résumé?!
I fished it out and read through it.
Despite the unconventional medium, the content was impressive.
I asked the receptionist why it had been tossed.
She laughed, saying it looked like a kid's work and clearly wasn’t professional.
But to me, it stood out.
We ended up bringing the candidate in for an interview.
Long story short, she nailed it.
Not only did she get the job, but she became a key player in our team.
Over the years, she moved with me to different businesses and grew her skills.
Today, she runs her own successful graphic studio.
The business lesson:
Sometimes the most unconventional approach stands out in a crowded field.
Never underestimate the power of standing out from the crowd.

🔥 AMAZON IS ALLOWING YOU TO TARGET BUSINESS ACCOUNTS!
This is a pretty big deal if you’ve got the right account.
Amazon quietly rolled out a new feature that lets you boost placement specifically for Business Accounts. IG PPC tested it and the results speak for themselves.
Conversion rates from Business placements are significantly better. In most cases, they’re seeing 3x the return compared to standard placements.
What’s new is that you can now build campaigns that target Business buyers only.
If you’ve got strong B2B potential, this gives you way more control.
Now’s the time to look at your product-level data.
Start tracking how much of your sales are coming from B2B and adjust your campaigns accordingly.
It’s still in beta and not everyone has access yet.
But if you do, it’s worth exploring. Shout out to IG PPC for spotting this.

🔥 THE SECRET AMAZON AFFILIATE TOOL THAT ACTUALLY CONVERTS...

Here’s My Takeaways From This Episode:
Use the Amazon Attribution Program to Track Affiliate Performance
Traditional affiliate links don’t show full performance. Use Amazon Attribution to track views, clicks, and conversions, so you know which creators are actually driving sales.Shift from One-Off Promotions to Long-Term Creator Relationships
Stop doing one-and-done campaigns. Work with creators consistently so they keep your product in rotation, increasing long-term exposure and sales.Creators Want Simplicity
Many creators aren’t tech-savvy. These affiliate tools help by giving creators one link that works for Amazon Associates, Attribution, and Creator Connections without complex setup.Let Creators Pick Products They Actually Like
Affiliates perform best when they choose products they’d buy anyway. Give them the freedom to select SKUs instead of force-feeding a catalog.Avoid Only Focusing on Coupon-Based Creators
Deals groups and coupon creators are powerful, but over-reliance limits your brand. Mix in lifestyle and review creators to build broader trust and exposure.

🔥 Marketing in an AI-First World: How to Sell Smarter

Here are my favorite TIPS from this episode!
✅ Build a Personal Brand That Attracts by Standing Out
Adam Gilad emphasized the power of differentiation, like wearing a party shirt with cocktail prints.
Tip: Whether it’s how you dress, speak, or post online, craft a consistent style that visually and emotionally stands out from the noise. Attention is the first currency of trust.
✅ Turn Life Experience into Intellectual Property
Adam took his experience in screenwriting, dating, and mentorship and built courses, shows, and IP around it. If you've gone through something unique, codify it into a framework, a story, or a teachable model. That’s how you turn “experience” into scalable products.
✅ Lean Into Vulnerability and Reinvention
He rebuilt his life multiple times, from hitting bottom to launching a new identity.
Tip: Use your lows as part of your brand story. Being open about transformation creates connection, authority, and inspiration. Don’t hide the pivots — highlight them.
✅ Create Relationship-First Funnels
Coming from the dating world, Adam knows that trust beats urgency. Structure your customer journey like relationship building:
Spark curiosity
Build emotional connection
Offer value
Ask for commitment - Most people rush to #4… don’t.
✅ Think in “Arcs”
As a screenwriter and content producer, Adam applies narrative structure to business.
Tip: Build your content or brand like a story arc with stakes, tension, humor, and resolution.
This makes your messaging addictive, not just informative.
